Goods Information

We try to ensure that colours appear as realistic as possible. Due to the constraints of digital reproduction on different web browsers and media devices, we cannot guarantee exact colour depiction. Please be aware that the actual colour you see on the screen may be different to those of the Goods you have ordered. At Eames we strive to ensure dimensions and descriptions are precise, although slight variations may occur. Packaging may be different from that shown.

Concerning Goods made from natural materials, such as leather or wood, it is not possible to guarantee the supplied Goods shall have the exact finish, colour, shade and pattern as shown on the website, due to the intrinsic nature of such materials. Also, we cannot guarantee to match exactly Goods which have been ordered on separate occasions.

For glass items, any imperfection is to be considered as a distinguishing feature of craftsman work. Glass undergoes a thermal treatment that may cause some very slight imperfections which makes each piece unique.

For some of our plastic items, moulding marks and bubbles are part of the production process and are not deemed to be defective in any way.

All prices on the website are quoted in Euro and exclude VAT and delivery charges. For customers within Ireland, VAT will be applicable and will be added at the rate of 23% at checkout stage. For all countries outside the European Union (EU), VAT is not applicable.

We make every effort to ensure that the prices shown at the moment you place your Order are accurate. We reserve the right to make price adjustments if we detect that the price is incorrect or a particular item is no longer available at the price shown on your Order.

If we discover the price for Goods you have placed an Order for is found to be incorrect we will contact you to advise you of the mistake, at which point you will be offered the option of continuing with your Order at the correct price or cancelling your Order for any incorrectly priced Goods with a full refund for those Goods.

At Eames we are eager for you to begin enjoying the items you have purchased as soon as practically possible after order and payment. We will begin processing your order immediately and determine production times for bespoke and made to order items. In most circumstances the email confirming your Order will display your chosen method of delivery and the estimated production time for the Goods that have been ordered. Please note that if the Goods are not in stock, the production time of Goods is in addition to delivery time. Given the special nature of most items, there will generally be a period of  some 4-6 weeks between order placement and delivery. Items that are in stock and small consumable items will be with you much sooner.

Standard Delivery offers delivery of the Goods to the door of the delivery address you provide to us when you place your Order (if the destination is an apartment, flat or complex, the Goods will be delivered inside the entrance to the building where possible). No Goods will be delivered to site where we have no telephone number or e-mail address for contact.

Our Irish delivery partners for standard courier delivery are DPD IRELAND and you can rest assured that your delivery is traceable at every stage.

Items that are not in stock, made to order or bespoke will take longer. You will be advised on estimated delivery times at time of order placement.

Standard delivery does not include assembly or unpacking. Every so often the delivery company may require assistance unloading larger items.

Free delivery does not apply to larger Trade orders. Contact us for shipping quotation before ordering.

International shipping details

All outside Ireland, Europe and Worldwide destinations will take longer.

The estimated production times are stated on our website or available from our customer services team and are in addition to any delivery time estimate provided.

International deliveries do not include customs & clearance fees, duties & taxes, road tax or quarantine and fumigation fees which are payable by the customer before their delivery. Failure to make payment will result in delays of which Eames Lighting cannot be held responsible and finally the return of the Goods and further accumulated costs. The responsibility lies with the customer for checking their country's own policies and rulings with regards to the importation of goods. Eames Lighting will not be held responsible for any costs accrued from the release of goods from any customs office. Preparation of export documentation can sometimes cause delays (approximately 5-10working days) while goods are awaiting dispatch from the Eames Lighting warehouse.  We do our very best to keep delays to a minimum. Please note: all of our international orders are shipped according to the Incoterms® 2015 standards.

International deliveries are kerb-side only and the delivery company will require assistance unloading larger items.

If your Order is for multiple items, we will send these out to you in one delivery as soon as they all arrive at the Eames Lighting warehouse and they have been checked.

Delivery Address

Please be careful to check access and entry to your property and be aware of the dimensions of the Goods ordered, as delivery is on the grounds that you have checked the dimensions and you confirm that the Goods to be delivered will fit through all doorways and stairwells all within the area of the intended use.

If you need to change the delivery address or time for delivery, please contact us as soon as possible as changes made after the goods have been dispatched may incur an additional delivery charge up to the full amount originally paid for delivery.

Failure to deliver

We shall not accept responsibility for Goods that are undeliverable due to unsatisfactory access or for any reason that is not within our reasonable control (which includes your absence at the arranged time for delivery as notified by us or our delivery partner).

You agree to pay our reasonable costs associated with storage and redelivery due to the circumstances set out above.

Please note: once the Goods have been delivered to you, the risk of the Goods passes over to you the owner and you will be liable for any consequent damage or loss to the Goods.

Cancellations, Refunds and Returns

Goods that are clearly labelled "made to order" are excluded from our standard cancellation policy thus we will not ordinarily be able to change such orders, make a refund or exchange any "made to order" item and therefore you should only place your Order if you are sure that the item and finish is correct for your needs. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Goods that are "made to order" and are found to be damaged upon receipt or faulty should be returned via our standard damaged goods returns policy. We also request a photo of said damaged goods to be sent to info@eameslighting.com

Right to cancel,standard items

We will commence processing your Order immediately upon receipt of payment to facilitate delivery of your item(s) as soon as possible. There will thus be a very narrow window of opportunity for Order cancellation. If you find that you have made an error during the placement of your order or have changed your mind with your selection, please contact our Help Team immediately and they will advise you if it is possible to cancel the order and refund your payment. While we will do all we can to assist you in this regard, please take the time to check your order fully before payment to ensure that you will not be disappointed in the event that we can not refund you.

If you are a consumer exercising your right to change your mind you must send off the goods within 14 days of telling us you wish to end the contract. In this instance goods must be returned unused, and in a fully re-saleable condition in their original packaging. Please also provide your Order reference when returning Goods.

Returns procedure for items that are faulty

Following receipt of your written notice to confirm your right to cancel, the Goods have to be returned in an unused state, and in a fully resalable condition in their original packaging without delay and in all circumstances no later than 14 days after the day you have informed us of your decision to cancel. Please also provide your Order reference number when returning Goods. Goods will be returned at the cost of the customer.

Where Goods are large or fragile (as determined by Eames Lighting) we will have the right to nominate a specialist furniture handler for return transit and the costs of delivery will be passed (up to 15% of the total Order value) onto you.

If the Goods being returned are damaged in transit due to insufficient packaging by you, we reserve the right to deduct an amount for lost value from the amount refunded up to the full value of the Order. If you would like us to arrange collection of your Goods, please contact info@eameslighting.com or by telephone on +353 51 330030 for further information.

In all cases the Goods must be carefully packed and in the original packaging to prevent damage. You must write the original Order number clearly on the packaging.
