The IC F1 Floor Lamp designed by Michael Anastassiades is part of the IC collection, a series of lights from Flos that explore balance.
The IC F1 Floor lamp is sleek, modern and minimalistic.
Created using abstract artistic principles, the lamp features opal glass and a brass supporting structure.
An elegant spherical light sits atop a sturdy metal frame, giving this particular item an industrial edge. Indeed, many would say that the IC F1 Floor lamp closely resembles an old-fashioned street light.
A fusion of chrome, brass, steel and glass, this light is as much a feature piece as it is a practical lighting solution.
At a height of 135cm and a diameter of 20cm, this impressive lamp is best suited to standing elegantly in the corner of a room.
The design takes the form of a sphere that is perfectly balanced on the edge of a rod and explores this throughout the lighting series.
Watching mesmerised by the magic of his skill suddenly the spheres looked perfectly still. In pursuit of capturing this exact moment is where Anastassiades began and the IC designs were born.
The design is also available in a larger size, the IC F2.
